Hamburg based DIGITEC has expanded to Singapore by hiring Christopher Johnson as Head of Asia. The new Singapore office aims to better serve the company's growing client base in the region.
“With existing bank clients across Asia and a growing number of regional prospects, it is important for DIGITEC to have a presence in Singapore, which is fast becoming Asia’s regional hub for FX,” says our CEO Peer Joost. The move reflects DIGITEC's strategy to be closer to its clients and tap new opportunities from financial centers like Singapore. The office will be staffed initially with trading experts, sales engineers and client service personnel focused on the Asia Pacific region.
Christopher Johnson has been appointed as Head of Asia to lead the new Singapore office. Johnson brings over 25 years of FX experience, most recently as Head of eFX and G10 Spot Trading for APAC at BNY Mellon Singapore.
DIGITEC provides FX Swaps technology and data to over 40 global banks, including more than 50% of Euromoney's Top 50 FX firms. The company is headquartered in Hamburg with offices in London and now Singapore.
