Moneycorp, a leading cross-border payments company, today announced that Velizar Tarashev has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Tarashev will succeed Mark Horgan, who will step down after 12 years in the role.
Tarashev has been with Moneycorp since February 2021, serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He has over 20 years of international strategic and operational experience for global banks and consultancies in the UK and the US. Prior to joining Moneycorp, Tarashev spent 13 years at Barclays, where he held a variety of leadership roles, including CFO for Barclays Private Bank and CFO for the Operations and Technology division.
