NAMI, a Russian state automotive research and development institute, has acquired a 100% stake in an auto parts factory that used to be owned by Bosch. The factory produces brake and suspension parts for cars.
NAMI has been accumulating assets from automakers that left Russia after its invasion of Ukraine. It has already taken over plants formerly operated by Renault, Nissan and Toyota.
The report did not disclose the purchase price, but noted that NAMI has acquired other assets for nominal fees.
The factory employed 107 people at the time of the transaction, and all staff will remain employed. NAMI aims to restart operations at the factory by 2024 with the help of Russia's industry ministry.
