Samsung Electro-Mechanics will provide camera modules for Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s Optimus robots, according to a report by Electronic Times.
This new supply arrangement would expand the strategic partnership between Tesla and Samsung.
The development follows a recent agreement where Samsung Electronics (KS:005930) signed a 22.8 trillion won foundry deal with Tesla.
The camera modules from Samsung Electro-Mechanics will be used in Tesla’s humanoid robots, which the company has been developing as part of its automation technology initiatives.
