The Trump administration is reportedly seeking dialogue with China over the imposition of a 145% tariff.
This information comes from Yuyuan Tantian, a social media account associated with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.
According to a post on its official Weibo (NASDAQ:WB) account, the U.S. has actively reached out to China via multiple channels, in the hope of discussing the tariff issue.
However, Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for China’s foreign ministry, stated on Wednesday that, to his knowledge, no negotiations or consultations have taken place between the U.S. and China regarding tariffs.
